SONG OF NOW

When dreaming I'm guided through another world
Time and time again
At sunrise I fight to stay asleep
'Cause I don't want to leave the comfort of this place
'Cause there's a hunger, a longing to escape
From the life I live when I'm awake
So let's go there
Let's make our escape
Come on, let's go there
Let's ask can we stay?
Can you take me higher?
To the place where blind men see
Can you take me higher?
To the place with golden streets
Although I would like our world to change
It helps me to appreciate
Those nights and those dreams
But, my friend, I'd sacrifice all those nights
If I could make the Earth and my dreams the same
The only difference is
To let love replace all our hate
So let's go there
Let's make our escape
Come on, let's go there
Let's ask can we stay?
Up high I feel like I'm alive for the very first time
Up high I'm strong enough to take these dreams
And make them mine

NU...

- Soccer = awesome. French dudes totally owned us. Score was Band Geeks - 4, Frenchies and Chorus Peeps - 6. And they didnt just beat us by a margin. They totally wore us out. They ran circles around us. If we didnt have Jonathan and David and Schubel and blah blah it would have been round 0 - 72. Bleh. Twas still awesome mad fun though. And we all got a nice fun lil pic at the end.

- Band competition...

WE WON.
and
I LEARNED WAY TOO MUCH ABOUT CERTAIN PEOPLE.
and
IM STILL FREAKIN TIRED FROM IT.

- Added error 404 to the artpages.

THATS ALL.

NARF

It's getting hard to think of blog headings that I already havent done... oh wells.

- Insomnia, an eye doctor appointment, and a dentist appointment in the same day. Isn't fun. At all. Having someone drill through your teeth on 0 hours of sleep isn't the greatest feeling in the world... sorry.

- *Donkey Konga theme song stuck in head*

The game is addictive as hell. GO BUY.

- What else to say... um... band stuff? Wind Ensamble auditions were fine. Scales were okay and we didnt have to sightread anything but the song was hard as a footch. But eh. I think I did okay. And then the football game... on THURSDAY... which is was a TEACHER WORKDAY... S'alright. We didn't march we just stood there and then went back the the stands and did crazy band stuff. And JR wasnt there for the second half, so Mr. Quinn has a wee too much fun playing temporary band director.

- It's cold. 49 degrees. That equals me thinking "@%*! It's cold... I'm not getting outta my warm cozy bed just yet..." in the morning.

Enough ramblings.

SONG (THAT IS DEBATABLE) OF NOW

As i glance once upon the foam
40 feet beneath my feet
The coldest calm falls
Through the molten veins
Cooling all the blood to slush
That congeals around the brain

La la la

40 feet remain

Salt scales upon my drying arms
Burn my back beneath the sun
Lookingdown, looking down
Down, down again

La la la

40 feet remain

~ Franz Ferdinand, 40'

ALLOW ME TO EXPLAIN MY SUBCONSIOUS

Ugh...

Hmm.

Yeah.

My brain's definetly messing with me. It's definetly out to get me. It's like a warring nation inside my head. More like a bar fight, actually. Warring nations would have two sides. A bar fight is just utter chaos, punch out whoever you can, utter madness. Ugh. It's like all these guys in my head at the bar with their girl, and then some guy says something about another guys girl and it starts an argument. And then it heats up and heats up until it boils over and punches are thrown. And the guys beat the living shit out of each other, while the girls sit back and watch them, sipping on their martinis. And then another part of my subconsious is this little nerdy guy in the corner who says, "Do you really like any of these girls?" And then the fighting dudes promply stop, pick up the nerdy guy, and toss him out the window. And continue beating the crap out of each other.

I make no sense, do I?

Oh well.

On to things that are slightly more sane.

- Added 'nother art site to the links. Pretty funky stuff at this particular site. Interesting concepts and such and such.

- Giving Franz Ferdinand another chance. I listend to their CD a while ago and didn't care for it too much, but a while ago me and Cooper were arguing about them vs. Modest Mouse, so I got the CD again and am in the process of comparing them... only comparison I've come up with so far is that yes, they are two scary indie bands who have questionable sexualities... specially Franz Ferdinand. But anyways.

- Band competition tomorrow... woo. Hope we dont blow it again.

- I need to buy more video games... last one I got was... around my birthday. Yeah. Whole lotta games have come out since then...

- On the other hand, I also need to be studying mo'.

- Practicing bass guitar... anyone know anyone who can give lessons?

Get me out of this depressy mood.

- EDIT: KATAMARI DAMACY IS MY NEW RELION. My brother comes back from Daniel's school dance and Blockbusters. He brings back Katamari Damacy.

Me: What is this?
Him: New game.
Me: What's it about?
Him: Apperantly youre this little Japanese alien that rolls around trash into a giant ball.
Me: ... wtf... thats the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

5 minutes after playing...

Me: THIS GAME IS GOD. *weeps*

It's the most addictive thing ever. AND IT ONLY COSTS 20 BUCKS.

Go forth and buy.

SONG OF NOW

One! Two! Three!

To every broken heart in here
Love was once a part, but now it's disappeared
She told me that it's all part of the choices that you make
Even when you think you're right
You have to give to take

But there's still tomorrow
Forget the sorrow
And I can be on the last train home
Watch it pass the day
As it fades away
No more time to care
No more time, today

But we sing
If we're going nowhere
Yeah we sing
If it's not enough
And we sing
Sing without a reason
To ever fall in love

I wonder if you're listening
Picking up on the signals
Sent back from within
Sometimes it feels like I don't really know whats going on
Time and time again it seems like everything is wrong in here

But there's still tomorrow
Forget the sorrow
And I can be on the last train home
Watch it pass the day
As it fades away
No more time to care
No more time, today

But we sing
If we're going nowhere
Yeah we sing
If it's not enough
And we sing
Sing without a reason
To ever fall in love

Well we sing if we're going nowhere
Yeah we sing if it's not enough
And we sing
Sing without a reason to ever fall in love

But we sing
If we're going no where
Yeah we sing
If it's not enough
And we sing
Sing with out a reason to never fall in love
To never fall in love again

The blog of Richie. Have a nice stay.

Name:
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina, United States

I'm that nice black dude who is friends with everyone, who dresses in Roca Wear and Nike, yet lives in the richest-assed neighborhood ever, that listens to things varying from Coltrane to Modest Mouse to DJ Taka, and who is both emo and cheerful at the same time. In short, I'm just plain crazy.
