QoH

This year's QoH was way hella better than the past two years.

Maybe it's because the awesome prom band was there playing funkified jam boogies.

Maybe it's because I actually freakin' danced for once.

MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE HALF THE GYM WENT INTO A HUGE MOSH WHEN THEY PLAYED THE NUMA NUMA SONG.

Whatever it was, twas very much fun. And that is all.

GORILLAZ EPIDEMIC

Holy shitty whacknads. EVERY. EVERY. Another for emphasis, EVERY single forum or site that I've visited that has to do either with art or music has something to do with Gorillaz nowadays. So at least I know that I'm not the only one thats in rediculous anticipation of their new albums. But this... this is to a new extreme... every topic in the art forums I go to has some character of the artists (theirselves even) Gorillazfied.

Which means, of course, I'll be jumping on this bandwagon and drawing Gorillazfied too.

Cause the style is so fuckin' rad.

But in other news.

Wait.

There is no other news.

SONG OF NOW

The world is spinning too fast
I'm buying lead Nike shoes
To keep myself tethered
To the days I try to lose

My mama said to slow down
You should make your shoes
Start dancing to the music
Of Gorillaz in a happy mood

Keep a mild groove on

Ba ba ba
Day dee bop

There you go!
Get the cool!
Get the cool shoe shine!

There's a monkey in the jungle
Watching a vapour trail
Caught up in the conflict
Between his brain and his tail

And if time's elimination
Then we got nothing to lose
Please repeat the message
It's the music that we choose

Keep a mild groove on

Ba ba ba
Day dee bop

OK bring it down yeah we gonna break out
Get the cool!
Get the cool shoe shine!

Ah Ah Ah Ah

Day doo de bop

SWEET BABY JESUS!

A new Gorillaz video? No way!

Holy crap, I listened to them like way back when I was in the 8th grade... ahhhh... this video is pure ecstacy. The syle just rapes everything and anything that I've seen before. And the song's addictive. And Murdoc is just as pimp a bassist as he was back then. AND IT'S NOODLE. *spasm*

Okay, I'm done. I'd make an actual real update but baalaah.

SONG OF NOW

We took a walk that night, but it wasn't the same
We had a fight on the promenade out in the rain
She said she loved me, but she had somewhere to go
She couldn't scream while I held her close
I swore I'd never let her go
Tell me what you wanna know
Oh come on, oh come on, oh come on
There ain't no motive for this crime
Jenny was a friend of mine
So come on, oh come on, oh come on

I know my rights, I've been here all day and it's time
For me to go, so let me know if it's alright
I just can't take this, I swear I told you the truth
She couldn't scream while I held her close
I swore I'd never let her go

Tell me what you wanna know
Oh come on, oh come on, oh come on
And then you whisper in my ear
I know what you're doing here
So come on, oh come on, oh come on
There ain't no motive for this crime
Jenny was a friend of mine
Oh come on, oh come on, oh come on

I'm that nice black dude who is friends with everyone, who dresses in Roca Wear and Nike, yet lives in the richest-assed neighborhood ever, that listens to things varying from Coltrane to Modest Mouse to DJ Taka, and who is both emo and cheerful at the same time. In short, I'm just plain crazy.
