SONG OF NOW

Here she comes in her palanquin on the back of an elephant
on a bed made of linen and sequins and silk.
All astride on her father's line
with the king and his concubines
and her nurse with her pitchers of liquors and milk.

And we'll all come praise the infanta.
And we'll all come praise the infanta.

Among five-score pachyderm, each canapied and passengered,
sit the duke and the duchess's luscious young girls
within sight of the baroness (seething spite
for this live largess,) by her side
sits the baron. Her barrenness barbs her.

And we'll all come praise the infanta.
And we'll all come praise the infanta.

A phalanx on camelback, thirty ranks
on her forward tack follow close,
their shiny bright standards a'waving.
While behind, in their coaching fours, ride the wives of the king of Moors
and the veiled young virgin, the prince's betrothed.

And we'll all come praise the infanta.
And we'll all come praise the infanta.

And as she sits upon her place, her innocence laid on her face.
From all atop the parapets blow a multitude of coronets:
melodies rhapsodical and fair.
And all our hearts afire, the sky ablaze with cannonfire,
we all raise our voices to the air, to the air...

And above all this falderal on a bed made of chaparral
she is laid, a coronal placed on her brow.
And the babe, all in slumbered dreams
of a place filled with quiet screams
and the lake where her cradle was pulled from the water.

And we'll all come praise the infanta.
And we'll all come praise the infanta.
And we'll all come praise the infanta.
And we'll all come praise the infanta.

SONG OF NOW

Girl inform me all my senses warn me
Your clever eyes could easily disguise
Some backwards purpose
It's enough to make me nervous.
Do you harbor sighs, or spit in my eye

But your lips when we speak
Are the valleys and peaks of a mountain range on fire.
So let me walk these coals till you believe
I can cut the mustard well enough
Cause you know as soon as breathe we scrutinize

Unknown quotients, you must be using potions
How else could you tie my head to the sky
This new convection has left me wondering why
I can't concern myself with ordinary tripe.

Like what's this morning's paper got to say
And which brand of coffee to make
This is no umbrella to take into the wind
And before we begin is there nothing to kill this anxiety.

But your lips when we speak
Are the valleys and peaks of a mountain range on fire.
So let me walk these coals till you believe
I can cut the mustard well enough
Cause you know as soon as breathe we scrutinize
The paint away...

ANGST!

Why is it that I can only write, draw, or think logically at 2 o'clock in the fucking morning? Does my brain only wish to function whilst I'm only awake from the caffine and the constant music? If so, then I humbly ask my noggin to reschedule it's maximum potency to another time... like, not when I'm supposed to be sleeping. Okay, I'm done.

- Posing, perspective, and profiles... the three P's immah work on in me art... see how far basically no experience with any teaching of the sort (besides the internet and such) can get me.

- There's like an Adventure Landing sort of amusment attraction thing opening within biking distance from my house... hello job. Hello DDRing location. Hello nearby arcade.

- My dad mentioned something about seeing something in the newspaper about Broughton getting a damn food court type thing in the cafeteria next year, something about testing it out for other schools in the county... can anybody verify this? Because if it's anything like the image in my mind, (probably not) that would be absolutely bitchin'.

- Liscense soon... yey.

- When Fantastic Four comes out, (July 8th, to be exact) I'm dragging you all to come and see it. The Fantastic Four is the coolest superhero team ever, and as you all as my witnesses, there will be serious hell to pay if this movie doesn't do them justice.

Okay, that's all.

WASHROOMS AND SUCH

Allo from Canada. Woot. Bloggage. Even though it's the last freaking day... night... yeah. Leaving tomorrow for home, but I'm bored, everything's packed away, so I'll blog tonight.

- Okay, um, yeah. Canada is really interesting. Came up here for me cousin's graduation from the U of Western Ontario, and to meet up with all of my aunts and uncles and cousins and such that I haven't seen in forever. And to see the interesting sights and sounds of Toronto, of course. First off, the graduation. It was... le interesting. Simply put, there was a very wanted man giving a speech up there. Dr. Mollungtaugher... or something. Don't kill me for getting his name wrong. He's big on women's rights in Canada, and also supports women's abortions in Canada, which is gigantic controversy up chere. So when we got to the graduation, there were like... hundreds of protestors waiting outside, with posters and banners and chanting and blah blah yadda yadda. And the police and SWAT team and all that good stuff was out there in full force and all that goodness. And us poor Americans had no bloody clue what was going on. But eh, the graduation went on fine, that dude's speech was cool, (two standing ovations, mixed in with some booing) and that was that.

Okay, driving around Canada... very cool. Even though it took a hell of a long time to get there, (14 hour drive, yes, DRIVE to Canada) twas still good to see states that I'd never been to... like, any state off of the East Coast. Eh. Bah. Hm. They had really cool rest stops. Like the one with a huge giant food court and gift shop inside (ahh... Starbucks after 8 hours in a car is godly.) But Toronto was where it was all at. The place is bustling... like New York City bustling, but instead of people walking along the sidewalks and such, there was just a shitload of cars and people riding on bikes. Possibly just as many people on bike than in car. But it was all good. Cool as hell arcades... like Adventure Landing x5. And ahh.... very hot gamer girls up in Canada. Sweet bliss. But yeah... oh yeah, there was a rediculously cool little town up there called London. (y'know, like the one in England...) The whole entire town was alive... not Toronto alive, where everything seemed all busy and such, and everyone was in a rush. It was a laid back little town. People riding round on bicycles built for 10, street performers, people of all diversities chilling at the local coffee shop and chatting... awesomeness. My dream town, if it weren't all the freaking way in Canada. And speaking of the coffee shop (called Tim Hortons) there is a hell of a lot of them up there. On every street corner, there's a damn Tim Hortons. They're literally within walking distance of each other... a bit of overkill. Eh.

- To stray off of the subject completely and utterly, Ninja Gaiden is one bitch of a game. Hardest thing ever. Roar. Easily the hardest game ever... but it's hard in a fair way. Like, if you die, you'll think I deserved that... not the usual BS! OMFG! like in other games.

- Ooh. Batman Returns is on. Sweet!

- Speaking of TV, the French channel up here is hella wierd. It's... just odd. They have every variety of gameshows. From the sort that's like Spanish gameshows (the ones where they dress up all wierd and do crazy shit and such) to some wierd show where they do rediculously complex math equations... in front of a live studio audience. That cheer like crazy while they solve them. And I couldn't understand a damn word of it. Rawr. And then they played those wierd Indian movies on one of the channels... you know the type. The love stories about the two families who don't want their children to marry, but the children elope or whatever and theres always trillions of explosions and whatnot. I watched like three of them, and they seemed to be the exact same story all three times. Wiggy.

Okay, I'm out... time to sleep... for the 14 hour ride back. Like, yay.

SONG OF NOW

I am thinking it's a sign that the freckles
In our eyes are mirror images and when
We kiss they're perfectly aligned
And I have to speculate that God himself
Did make us into corresponding shapes like
Puzzle pieces from the clay
True, it may seem like a stretch, but
Its thoughts like this that catch my troubled
Head when you're away when I am missing you to death
When you are out there on the road for
Several weeks of shows and when you scan
The radio, I hope this song will guide you home

They won't see us waving from such great
Heights, 'come down now,' they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away,
'come down now,' but we'll stay...

I tried my best to leave this all on your
Machine but the persistent beat it sounded
Thin upon listening
That frankly will not fly. you will hear
The shrillest highs and lowest lows with
The windows down when this is guiding you home

MUSICOLOGY AND SUCH

And now for the latest installment of Richie's Blog. Sponsered by Baby Blow-em-Ups, the fun new explosive toy from Wham-O! Toys! Explode realistically just like a real baby! From the developers of Little Miss Uzi.

Okay. Yeah. Um... what to talk about?

- GBA owners, immediately go and purchase the latest Fire Emblem game. Potentially the best in the series (in my opinion at least.) Good way to knock some hours off of this summer.

- Soccer tomorrow at that Millbrook place... don't forget?

- Still needs job. And bass teacher. Rawr.

- Indietits is possibly the coolest comic about birds ever. INDIE birds, to be exact.

- Report card twas decent.

That's all... In case you haven't noticed, I'm terribly bored. Woot. Take me away.
