SONG OF NOW

We know a place where no planes go
We know a place where no ships go

(Hey!) No cars go
(Hey!) No cars go
Where we know

We know a place no space ships go
We know a place where no subs go

(Hey!) No cars go
(Hey!) No cars go
Where we know

(Hey!)
(Hey!)
(Cars go!)

(Hey!) Us kids know
(Hey!) No cars go
Where we know

Between the click of the light and the start of the dream
Between the click of the light and the start of the dream
Between the click of the light and the start of the dream
Between the click of the light and the start of the dream

I don’t want any pushing, and I don’t want any shoving.
We’re gonna do this in an orderly manner.
Women and children!
Women and children!
Women and children, let’s go!
Old folks, let’s go!
Babies needing cribs, let’s go!

SOCCER N' STUFF

Quick bloggo.

- Soccer... fun. Decent turnout. Two newcomers, which be good, (Nick & Martin) but we still need more! And we actually played two full games of soccer while being interrupted by new arrivals and one water break inbetween the two games... surprising. Astonishing. Outstanding. And all that rot. Sorta hurt my ankle running, but feh...

- Movie. Corpse Bride. I personally liked it a lot. Nightmare Before Christmas-ish stop animation style, which totally bitches out anything ever always. It had zombies and shit, which is always awesome. Famous dead people had random cameos. (Red Baron, Napoleon, Ray Charles... oO) Storyline was sort of predictable, but that's the case with all of these movies these days, so beh. Wasnt exactly laugh my butt off funny, but the humor factor doesn't always determine how good a movie is. Didn't like the musical numbers so much, not exactly as memorable as Nighmare Before Christmas or Beetlejuice or whatever. Overall, very much recommended.

And they had the preview for Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire which, much to my surprise, kicked ASS.

- *realizes Black & White 2 comes out next week*

*droolage*

That'll be all, gents and lassies.

SONG OF NOW

I'm the same as I was when I was 6 years old
And oh my God I feel so damn old
I don't really feel anything
On a plane, I can see the tiny lights below
And oh my God, they look so alone
Do they really feel anything?
Oh my God, I've gotta gotta gotta gotta move on
Where do you move when what you're moving from
Is yourself?
The universe works on a math equation
that never even ever really even is ending
Infinity spirals out creation
We're on the tip of its tongue, and it is saying
We aint sure where you stand
You aint machines and you aint land
And the plants and the animals, they are land
And the plants and the animals eat each other
Oh my God and oh my cat
I told my Dad what I need
Well I know what I have and want
But I don't know what I need
Well, he said he said he said he said
"Where we're going I'm dead."

SONG OF NOW

Feel good...
Feel good...
Feel good...
Feel good...

City's breaking down on a camel's back.
They just have to go 'cos they dont hold back
So all you fill the streets it's appealing to see
You wont get out the county, 'cos you're bad and free
You've got a new horizon It's ephemeral style.
A melancholy town where we never smile.
And all I wanna hear is the message beep.
My dreams, they've got to kiss, because I dont get sleep, no..

Windmill, Windmill for the land.
Learn forever hand in hand
Take it all in on your stride
It is sticking, falling down
Love forever love is free
Let's turn forever you and me
Windmill, windmill for the land
Is everybody in?

Laughing gas these hazmats, fast cats,
Lining them up-a like ass cracks,
Ladies, homies, at the track
Its my chocolate attack.
Shit, I'm stepping in the heart of this here
Care bear bumping in the heart of this here
Watch me as I gravitate
Hahahahahahaa.
Yo, we gonna go ghost town,
This motown,
With yo sound
You're in the place
You gonna bite the dust
Cant fight with us
With yo sound
You kill the INC.
So dont stop, get it, get it
Until you're cheddar header.
Yo, watch the way I navigate

Windmill, Windmill for the land.
Learn forever hand in hand
Take it all in on your stride
It is sticking, falling down
Love forever love is free
Let's turn forever you and me
Windmill, windmill for the land
Is everybody in?

Dont stop, get it, get it
We are your captains in it
Steady,
Watch me navigate,
Ahahahahahhaa.
Dont stop, get it, get it
We are your captains in it
Steady, watch me navigate
Ahahahahahaaa.

Feel good...
Feel good...
Feel good...
Feel good.

ADVENT CHILDREN

It's out. And it kicks ass.

That is all.

Well, no, wait, actually it's not all. The Corpse Bride comes out in select theaters on Friday, and I WANT TO SEE IT. So if anyone knows of any theaters showing it in the area, please inform me.

SONG OF NOW

(Oh, oh, oh,)
(Oh, oh, oh....)

When I was a child,
running in the night,
i was afraid of what might be
Hiding in the dark
and hiding on the street,
and of what was following me

(Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,)
The hounds of love are calling
(Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,)
I've always been a coward,
(Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,)
and I don't know what's good for me

Well here I go,
it's coming at me through the trees
Help me, someone, help me, please
Take your shoes off,
and i will throw them in the lake,
and I will be,
two steps on the water

I found a fox,
caught by dogs,
he let me take him in my hands
His little heart, it beat so fast
And I'm ashamed to be running away
From nothing real,
I just can't deal, with this
I feel ashamed to be there

(Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,)
Among your hounds of loving
(Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,)
And feel your arms surrounding me
(Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,)
I've always been a coward,
(Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,)
and i dont know what's good for me

Oh, here I go,
don't let me go,
hold me down
It's coming at me through the trees
Help me, someone, help me, please
Take my shoes off,
and i will throw them in the lake,
and I will be,
two steps on the water

Do you know what I need,
do you know what I need,
i need love love love love love, yeah

Take my shoes off,
and throw them in the lake,
and I will be,
two steps on the water

Do you know what I need,
do you know what's good for me,
Do you know what I need,
do you know what I need

AND NOW FOR THE LATE NIGHT BLOG, WITH DAVID LETTERMAN

No, not really with David Letterman. That would be kind of cool though. Jay Leno would be cooler, though.

- Me trip to New York was pretty fun... we only stayed for two and a half days though, so the entire trip was squeezed into the weekend prpetty tight, so we had lots to see and lots to do and such. Saw cousins that I hadn't seen in a year, saw the sights and sounds of New York, got to witness my relatives get drunk as dogs at barbeques, and so on. It was sorta interesting to drive up and back down in the Ford Excursion me daddeh rented, because thing is built like a freakin' tank. Everything gets the hell out of the lane when it goes down the stretch. And it guzzles gas like crazy... it took about 5 minutes to fill up the tank, and it came up to $101. Blim. But all in all, yeah, the trip was packed.

Quote of the trip goes to my cousin though. He's only 8, but he's really short, so you'd mistake him for 5 or 6. And you'd probably say that he's adorable and huggable and blahblahblah. And he spews out the most unexpected things, something that you'd expect from some kid on Kids Say The Darndest Things. So he has this little habit where he takes my aunt's broken cell phone and pretends that it's ringing, (the ringtones still go off on the phone) yells something into the phone like he's a businessman or sommat, and then slams the phone down. Well, this particular time, he let the phone ring (some crazy techno-porno-latin ring) and yelled something indistinguishable, and slammed down the phone really bloody hard. So my aunt is curious.

Me Aunt: Who was that on the phone?
Me Cousin: That was Aruba, they wanted to know where the freak Natalie Holloway was!
*cue laughter for 4 straight minutes*

Ahh... yeah.

- And now for the gamer geek segment of the month... the Age of Empires 3 demo is out. Go download it. Now. And become engulfed in the sheer awesomeness that it is. It will hook you in and not let go. You WILL love this game. You WILL buy the retail version when it comes out.

Pity the demo doesn't have multiplayer on it yet, but eh.

More bloggyness ensuing later on in the week.

I'm that nice black dude who is friends with everyone, who dresses in Roca Wear and Nike, yet lives in the richest-assed neighborhood ever, that listens to things varying from Coltrane to Modest Mouse to DJ Taka, and who is both emo and cheerful at the same time. In short, I'm just plain crazy.
