TRACY... HOLD MUMMY'S WAFFLES

Prepare for a longass blog.

- FIRST ORDER OF BUISNESS... bought Megatokyo Volume 2 (YES YES YES YES YES) which is totally awesome, and Hellsing (which surprised me at being so badass) to read on zee trip. And I was totally obsessed with both of them. Specially Hellsing, which was creepy cause usually I dont like mangas with that much blood. oO

Oh well.

- Made a TOTALLY AND UTTERLY AWESOME collection of CDs to listen to on the trip. They are awesome. They contain the greatest music I've heard evar. My ears ached by the end of the bus ride up from the headphones. BUT IT WAS A GOOD KIND OF ACHE. Kill Bill, Cowboy Bebop, Miles Davis, random OCRs, Issac Hayes... oh yeah.

- Speaking of the trip... IT ROCKED.

Beware of longness.

First off, the bus ride up to Maryland was just... strange. Cooper next to me thunkin' up crazy techno beats. A&T in front of us (dont want to slaughter their names) laughing at EVERY DAMN THING WE SAID (cooper: pastries. a&t: *laugh ass off*) and Finding Nemo. Interesting ride up.
Then we stopped off in Phillie, nearly left Little Marc at the Liberty Bell, had a FREAKIN EXPENSIVE sandwich... thing, went to the gift shop, and chilled back to the bus.
THEN we got to zee first hotel in Baltimore, where Brian, Stefan and Chris proceeded to watch Yu Yu Hakusho (GOD SAVE ME FROM THE VOICE ACTING) whilst me and Big Marc watched Rush Hour 2 ("CUT OFF OUR EGG ROLLS? HELL NAW!") And I got to shleep on zee floor. Fun.
Next day... finished driving up to the NY. Not much that day. (not that I'm saving the shows for later.)
Next day... we go to WTC site and split up with our chaperones in our groups. It is snowing. It is windy. It is 20 degrees. IT. WAS. FREEZING. Everyone ran to the nearest building (a Burger King) and warmed up. Only to be pushed back into absolute 0 by our chaperones. Once we got used to the cold, though, it was much better. Twas insane running around New York City with Big Marc, A&T, Shay, Rosalie, Lucy, and Kathryn. We went to... Rockafella Center, Empire State, St. Pattie Cathederal, the BIGASS Toys R' Us, all over Times Square, 3 story Disney Store... yeah. Saw a lot. Took pictures. Laughed. Cried. Attempted to eat NY Pizza. It was packed.
Next day... dear God, NO. The parade. Worst. Experience. Ever. Snowing. Like... 19 degrees. Windy. FINGERS CUT OFF ON GLOVES. Couldn't move fingers for the first 15 minutes. Wanted to scream "PRAISE ALLAH, JESUS, AND JOSEPH." every time the cadents started. Uggh. Near the end, my fingers started to get feeling again... so I actually played. And we somehow got first through all of that. Insane.
Next day... went home. After stopping at the biggest mall ever in D.C. Slept all on the way back. Woke up at 5 this morning. Dragged my ass to school. Came home. Started writing this.
Lesseh... the SHOWS. Phantom... I could have done without. I honestly wish I'd gone to see Chicago instead of this (*gets molested by Phantom phans *rimshot*.) But it was "THE ONE SHOW YOU COULDNT LIVE WITHOUT SEEING" so I saw it. And I thought it sucked. But that's just me.
Hairspray... GOOD GOD, that was laugh-my-ass-off funny. I wasn't expecting a show that funny. Harvy F. is the man. Seaweed was the man. And the songs were addictive... OHHH OHHHHH OHHHHHHH (*gets shot by Lil Marc*.) Man I wish I bought the soundtrack when I saw it for 15 bucks...
But if Hairspray was funny, then The Producers was UNGODLY funnily hilarious. Never have I laughed so damn much. Timed perfectly. Lines spoken greatly. Even when the police dude forgot his lines, Matthew B. STILL pulled off the ultimate save. Jebus, that was awesome. Disturbingly awesome, but still awesome.
Overall... cant decide between Hairspray or Producers as the best show. Hairspray had the AWESOME music, but Producers was I-cant-breathe funny.
Almost as good as Disney. ALMOST.

- Though all of those shows were awesome, the greatest part of the trip for me was the lunch at the pizza place on whatever day it was. Not because it was with all of my mates (cept Lil Marc.) Not because it was easily the greatest pizza I'd ever had. It was the CONVERSATION. What started with me and Kelly talking about zee Awesome Band Geeks Quote page (that I shall update later tonight, I swear on it) turned into this deep convo about what we're gonna do when we grow up. Stefan made the brilliant point of "We're gonna be juniors in like less than 60 days." And we all agreed on how time flies when we have fun, but eventually we're all gonna have our seperate ways. And we totally launched into this career into our futures. And Brian and Stefan were like "Jesus, you guys already have your lives planned out and shiz" and we were just like whatever. Kelly wants to study volcanos, Kai-ou wants to study the environment and stuff, Erin wants to become an editor and publisher... DAMN, we're growing up way too fast. So much to do. World coming at us faster than we think. Friends leaving us (Minjoo is leaving on Sunday... Patrick and Kathryn are graduating... Kai-ou's graduating next year...) Wow. Kelly had the most awesome idea to make a book of memiors that I'm definetly gonna help out with. That'd truly be my most prized possesion. Evar.

Whew. Long as futch blog.

Saxaphone to be practiced.

I'm that nice black dude who is friends with everyone, who dresses in Roca Wear and Nike, yet lives in the richest-assed neighborhood ever, that listens to things varying from Coltrane to Modest Mouse to DJ Taka, and who is both emo and cheerful at the same time. In short, I'm just plain crazy.
