ROLLERCOASTER

Don't you hate it when your life goes from SHITTY to AWESOME to SHITTY to AWESOME to SHITTY in the space of a few days? Or even a few hours? Potentially even a few minutes?

Yeah.

Just throwing that out there.

I'm done being emoish now.

Really.

All is well.

See?

-=meh=-

EDIT: Oh yeah, and the competition was bitching and the party was hot. That is all.

SONG OF NOW

Once - The dogs have quit their barking
"Son," - my neighbor said to me.
"Know the emptiness of talking blue
the same old sheep."
Run - I'll do no more this walking
Haunted by a past I just can't see
Anymore
Anymore

But let me tell you I have never planned
To let go of the hand that has been
Clinging by its thick country skin
To my yellow country teeth

Far - Far away from West Virginia
I - Will try on New York City
Explaining that the sky holds the
Wind the sun rushes in and a child
With a shotgun can shoot down
Honeybees that sting
BUT THIS BOY COULD USE A LITTLE STING!

Who - Will get me to a party?
Who - Do I have yet to meet?
You - You look a bit like coffee
And you taste a bit like me
How - Can I keep me from moving?
Now - I need a change of scenery
Just listen to me I won't pretend to
Understand the movement of the wind
Or the waves out in the ocean or how
Like the hours I change softly slowly
Plainly blindly oh me oh my!

OMFG

For lack of a better title, I present to you... The Chrono Trigger Mixtape: Volume 1.

It's CHRONO TRIGGER MIDIS mixed with RAP. They use Gato's Theme, for example, with 50 Cent's Disco Inferno. If that doesn't completely scramble your mind, I don't know what will.

And somehow, strangely, it all fits together.

Enjoy?

STANDOUT TRACKS - "Pump It" ; "Don't Phunk With My Heart" ; "My Style" ; "Gone Going"

~ Broken Social Scene, Feel Good Lost
DESCRIPTION - Nonlyrical ambiant vibes. Good for relaxation. Or car rides. Or whatever.
STANDOUT TRACKS - "I Slept At The Bonnhomme At CBC" ; "Feel Good Lost" ; "Cranley's Gonna Make It"

~ Daft Punk, Discovery

STANDOUT TRACKS - "One More Time" ; "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" ; "Crecendolls"

~ The Decemberists, Picaresque
DEFINITION - That album I won't shut the fuck up about because it's so good. Folksy indie rock, ranging from Spanish ballads, to French prostitution tunes, to sea shanties.

~ Franz Ferdinand, You Could Have It So Much Better
DEFINITION - ... It's Franz Ferdinand. Indie rock at it's finest.

~ Iron & Wine, Woman King
DEFINITION - Folksy, chilly, relaxing music.
STANDOUT TRACKS - "Jezebel" ; "Grey Stables"

~ The New Pornographers, Twin Cinema
DEFINITION - Indie rock... hm. It's generic, but it sounds good. And the drums kick arse in some of the songs.
STANDOUT TRACKS - "Twin Cinema" ; "Jackie, Dressed In Cobras" ; "Use It" ; "Streets Of Fire"

~ Modest Mouse, Building Something Out Of Nothing
DEFINITION - I'll try to make this the last Modest Mouse album. I swear. Kinda rednecky, kinda indie rock, lotsa guitar twangy and random yelling.

~ My Chemical Romance, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge
DEFINITION - Emo/Punk rock!
STANDOUT TRACKS - "Helena" ; "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" ; "Thank You For The Venom"

DEFINITION - Funky jazz-rock. Like Shining, but less scary.
STANDOUT TRACKS - "Pressure Point" ; "You Will, You Won't" ; "Zuton Fever"

SONG OF NOW

I'm an engine driver
On a long run, on a long run
Would I work beside her
She's a long one, such a long one

And if you don't love me let me go
And if you don't love me let me go

I'm a country lineman
On a high line, on a high line
So will be my grandson
There are powerlines in our bloodlines

And if you don't love me let me go
And if you don't love me let me go

And I am a writer, writer of fictions
I am the heart that you call home
And I've written pages upon pages
Trying to rid you from my bones
My bones
My bones

I'm a money lender
I have fortunes upon fortunes
Take my hand for tender
I am tortured, ever tortured

And if you don't love me let me go
And if you don't love me let me go

And I am a writer, writer of fictions
I am the heart that you call home
And I've written pages upon pages
Trying to rid you from my bones
I am a writer, I am all that you have home
Home
And I've written pages upon pages
Trying to rid you from my bones
My bones
My bones

(And if you don't love me let me go)
And if you don't love me let me go
(And if you don't love me let me go)
And if you don't love me let me go

SOUL CALIBUR III

Played the demo...

... wow.

More geekiness shall ensue when I actually buy the game in, about, 2 and a half weeks.

And my internet is being all screwy, and booting me off in exactly 1.5 minutes, so this is all I'll write!

Name:
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina, United States

I'm that nice black dude who is friends with everyone, who dresses in Roca Wear and Nike, yet lives in the richest-assed neighborhood ever, that listens to things varying from Coltrane to Modest Mouse to DJ Taka, and who is both emo and cheerful at the same time. In short, I'm just plain crazy.
