MORE RECOMMENDED MUSIC

Redesigned blog. And added links and such.

And there's more music out there that you absolutely need to be listening to.

~ Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah ~
The first time you listen to this album, it may throw you off. The singer sounds horrendous. Really. He sounds like he just recovered from a recent affliction of bronchitis or something. Ignore this, for you will, oddly enough, get used to it after a while. Hell, you may even be singing along after a while, TRYING to crack the pitches in the correct places. Instead of the singer, focus on the music. And then, it'll hit you.
Oh shit, this music kicks ass.
Cue dancing.
[Standout Tracks] - Let The Cool Goddess Rust Away ; The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth ; Is This Love?

~ Late Registration, by Kanye West ~
I've never really got why Kanye West's albums always got to me. Maybe it's calling deep within me, to my inner blackness, saying, "Nigga, you'd best enjoy this CD." Or maybe it's because of the fact that a lot of the subject matter in his raps are about college, for some reason, and I be going to college soon. Or maybe it's just because they're the only decent raps out there. You know, raps that aren't about Laffy Taffy, or whatever.
[Standout Tracks] - Gold Digger ; Drive Slow ; Diamonds From Sierra Leone

~ In The Aeroplane Over The Sea, by Neutral Milk Hotel ~
This album has been described as experimental rather than being a true and tried record. It certainly is true that the whole CD is a blend of enigmatic lyrics and freaky guitar/horn/synth combos, but that doesn't make it so it can't be an awesome album. Heavily reminiscent of The Decemberists, (which makes it all the better) varying song styles are a highlight of this album (from country-ish hoedowns to epic emotional ballads to happy-go-lucky, tap-your-toe tunes.)
[Standout Tracks] - The King Of Carrot Flowers ; Two-Headed Boy ; Ghost

~ Apologies To The Queen Mary, by Wolf Parade ~
I can hardly even say anything intelligent about this record. Nearly every track is highly infectious. Drums, guitar riffs, video-gamish synths... perfect, all of it. Don't even get me started on all of the standout tracks. Just go out and get it, give it a listen, and then kill me when you're sitting in math, and Wolf Parade lyrics start running rampart in your mind.
[Standout Tracks] - You Are A Runner, and I Am My Father's Son ; We Built Another World ; I'll Believe In Anything

That'll be all.

Don't forget about mah presents. They're being sent for on Saturdayish.

I'm that nice black dude who is friends with everyone, who dresses in Roca Wear and Nike, yet lives in the richest-assed neighborhood ever, that listens to things varying from Coltrane to Modest Mouse to DJ Taka, and who is both emo and cheerful at the same time. In short, I'm just plain crazy.
